Pretty soon we will be leaving for a three months trek around Australia.
The last time we traveled for a long period of time was when our sons were 8 and 10 years old. We sold our house, put them in correspondence school and circumnavigated North America. We visited National Parks around the US and Canada, drove through Death Valley, played pool across New Mexico, swam in the Gulf, visited Disney World, saw the Nina, Pinto and Santa Maria. We ate shrimp in Maine and lobster in Prince Edward Island. We sang 'Oh Canada' on Parliament Hill and visited L'Anse Aux Meadows in Newfoundland.
Now it's off Down Under to see which stories are true: the deadliest snakes and crocodiles in the World? The hottest temps ever recorded? A prime minister who goes swimming and is never seen again?!
I am packing my 'cabin luggage only' pack with clothes I can discard over there. I'm trying to figure out which phone plans to use and which magazine wants articles.
Come along on our journey. Click 'follow this blog' now so that you will be notified of any new posts. We're leaving within a month!
